We will tell you what vegetable oils we should use to have healthy, strong and beautiful hair and some tips to incorporate them into our hair routine.

Hair masks are not enough

When we talk about hair care, we usually think of moisturizing masks that give us softness and shine, but nevertheless, hair also needs to replenish lipids, and oils take care of that.

The abuse of high temperatures, dyes, aggressive products, and even external factors such as environmental pollution, make the hair look dull, rough, brittle, in short, lifeless.

Oils complete the hair care routine

By making regular use of first cold pressing oils, we will be able, little by little, to restore that lost vitality, since the oils provide us with a wide variety of vitamins and nutrients that our scalp and our strands will absorb to benefit from their properties.

How to use oils to care for hair?

The way to use the oils in their pure version is before the shower, applying them to dry hair and massaging the scalp, and leaving it to act for a minimum of 2 hours before proceeding to wash.

Vegetable oils according to your hair type and need

Let's see, in more detail, different types of vegetable oils that we can use for different purposes:

Undoubtedly the great ally is Castor Oil, it is rich in nutrients and omega 9 fatty acids, as well as an effective antibacterial and antifungal; all of its properties will make the hair grow in a healthy and strong way. On the hair, its nourishing properties make it one of the best for moisturizing, conditioning and enriching the scalp.

If you have dryness, peeling or irritation problems, massage with oils such as Avocado or Wheat Germ Oil. Both rich in vitamins A, E and D. Used on the hair, Avocado Oil stimulates the scalp and softens coarse, dry hair. For hair loss, it combines well with coconut oil and essential oils of cedar, grapefruit, sage, rosemary, lemon and extracts of nettle and burdock. In the case of Wheat Germ Oil, it also has great properties for hair, helping to moisturize dry hair, thus combating dryness.

Neem Oil is highly effective in treating psoriasis, in addition, it hydrates and protects the skin. It is also excellent against dandruff and lice.

Having an oily scalp does not mean that you have to do without the properties that oils offer us, Jojoba Oil, which is really a ceramide, regulates sebum secretion. Used on the hair, it provides hydration and nutrition, bringing vitality to dry and brittle hair.

Thanks to its high content of vitamin E, Argan Oil will soften the hair strand, providing great shine and facilitating combing. It strengthens and revitalizes the hair, giving it natural softness, making it the best hair mask we can find.

If you come from chemical dyes or discolorations, Grape Seed Oil, thanks to its antioxidants, will provide elasticity to the hair.

When and how to apply vegetable oils to care for hair?

As you can see, by incorporating oils into our routine, we will keep our scalp and hair healthy.

You can apply them once a week, or every 15 days if you start from healthy hair, applying it from roots to ends, massaging the scalp and going down the lengths to the ends.

Then you just have to wash to remove the remains, keep in mind that you do not need to thoroughly soak the hair, so it will not cost you to remove it.
